Free Plan Limits and Real Costs

Systeme.io pricing: the short answer (checked 29 October 2026)

Systeme.io has a free plan and three paid plans: Startup $17 a month, Webinar $47 a month and Unlimited $97 a month. Paying yearly gives 2 months free, which works out to $170, $470 and $970 a year (ten times the monthly price, our arithmetic). The free plan “never expires and does not require a credit card”, and every plan includes unlimited email sends and 0% transaction fees, according to the pricing page.

Is Systeme.io free? Yes, for up to 2,000 contacts. The free plan includes 3 sales funnels, 1 blog, 1 course, 1 affiliate program and 1 custom domain, with lower limits on some features such as 1 automation rule, 1 email campaign and 500 students.

Free-plan sales cap (checked November 1, 2026): Systeme.io’s subscription guidance (opens in a new tab) says payment pages stop accepting new sales at $10,000 in lifetime sales; a paid plan is needed to resume. Affiliate commissions do not count toward that cap. This can require an upgrade even below 2,000 contacts.

What changed recently? Nothing in the published prices since our 23 October 2026 check (Free $0, Startup $17, Webinar $47, Unlimited $97); the pricing page’s FAQ is marked “Last updated: April 2026”. If a page you read quotes a different price, or a plan name other than Free, Startup, Webinar, Unlimited or the Custom team plan, it is out of date.

What to do first: open the free plan (no card), build one opt-in page and one thank-you page, and write your welcome emails; sends are unlimited. Upgrade only when your contact count, a feature limit or the free plan’s sales cap requires it; the finder checks common reasons above. That way the first money you spend is on a limit you have actually reached.

Example budget (illustrative): if you have set aside about $200 for your first site, the free plan leaves all of it for hosting, a domain or a course you need; a year of Startup paid yearly ($170) would use most of it. Annual commitment: monthly billing avoids a full year’s upfront payment while testing.
